Semiahmoo Ladies Club Philanthropic History

The Semiahmoo Ladies Club (SLC) was founded in 1992 to promote fellowship among the Semiahmoo Resort Community. SLC is a non-profit organization that began their philanthropic projects with scholarship money awarded to a female, Blaine High graduating senior. Recognizing their Semiahmoo community was a small part of the greater community of Blaine, SLC members expanded their personal volunteerism to include fund raising efforts to benefit more organizations and charities in Blaine and Whatcom County. Fundraising efforts have included auctions, a huge community garage sale, and last year a combined art show, SUMMER-AIRE, and a raffle. Over the past 12 years, Semiahmoo Ladies Club has donated over $128,000 to the community of Blaine, which includes almost $37,000 in scholarships!

We hope you will join us at SUMMER-AIRE  2005  to support SLC philanthropic projects.
